What is Bovine Collagen ?

What is Bovine Collagen?

Bovine Collagen is a form of protein which comes from cow hide and consists of Collagen Types I and III (see What is Collagen? in FAQ above).  It is produced when cow hide is broken down into smaller molecules.  A continued natural enzymatic process of Hydrolysation softens the original collagen bond and allows the release of Collagen Peptides, also known as Hydrolysed Collagen.

These peptides are bioactive, they can dissolve and are easily digested.  Once absorbed into the bloodstream they can travel around the body and influence activity of cells in multiple ways.
